Hallo Friends, I promised I will tell you how Italy went. Well, it went great.
I loved talking shop with Tilman. I loved eating pesto gnocchi, did you know they serve it with green beens and tiny potatoes cubes? It was a first for me.
I loved the nature, the familier lines of olive trees and grapes on the hillside. I was very impressed by the sweet peas that grows wild on the road side with it’s outbursting pinks just like that, who knew.
It was constantly raining so we didnt visit the beach this time, but honestly, there was so much work dealing with the floor, it was for the best.
I enjoy a good creative struggle. I only had three days to get it right with this 18x5 cement floor, and I finally felt like I came close.
The pleasure of working with marble dust is that it comes off easily. So I literally redid the entire space three times till I had a better idea of what works.
When I draw live in front of people I always feel like some of them really want to draw too. This time there was a blond little angel in the crowd, that her gaze was so deep, I couldn’t help it but letting her draw a line with me. You can see her strolling with her mother in the picture above.
This led me to thinking about creating a workshop for floor marble dust. I still dont know where and when, (let me know if you have any ideas) but I will keep you posted.
