€0.00

Agam (Gigi) Berger, born August 6, 2004, in Israel, grew up in Holon with her twin sister Li-Yam, her older sister Bar, and younger brother Ilai. She attended Kiryat Sharet School, where ten graduates were killed during the October 7, 2023, attack. A violinist since the age of eight, Agam’s love for music was a significant part of her life.

She joined the IDF as a field observer and had only been at her post for one day when Hamas attacked the Nahal Oz military base. Agam was abducted and taken to Gaza. A Hamas video showed her being led to a car, dressed in pajamas. The attack claimed the lives of 15 female surveillance officers. Of the others abducted, one was later rescued, and another was killed in captivity. Five, including Agam, remain hostages.

On November 26, 2023, freed hostage Agam Goldstein-Almog informed Agam’s father, Shlomi Berger, that his daughter’s injuries were healing. A religious Jew, Agam upheld her faith even in captivity, reportedly refusing to light a fire or cook for her captors on Shabbat.
